The MASCC/ISOO Annual Meeting on Supportive Care in Cancer

The 2019 Annual Meeting of the Multidisciplinary Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC) and the International Society of Oral Oncology (ISOO) will be held in San Francisco, California, USA on Friday through Sunday, June 21 to 23. This annual MASCC/ISOO meeting is the foremost multidisciplinary conference on supportive care in cancer and covers a wide range of problems experienced by people with cancer as a result of their disease as well as its treatment.

This year’s meeting, chaired by Andrew Davies, MD, FRCP, will address all stages of cancer from diagnosis through survivorship and end-of-life care with special emphasis on four themes:

  • Digital Health
  • New Treatments, New Toxicities
  • Sexual Health
  • Cancer Survivorship

This year’s meeting also features four workshops open to all attendees:

  • Mucositis Pain Management
  • Complications of Immunotherapy
  • Design of Systematic Reviews, Meta-Analyses, and Clinical Studies in Supportive Care
  • Emerging Strategies for Treatment-Related Symptoms in Cancer Survivors

In addition to its cutting-edge scientific program, the Annual Meeting will include a variety of social events that will provide opportunities to meet with colleagues from around the world, to share research ideas, and collaborate on research initiatives.

The Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC) is a multidisciplinary organization dedicated to research and education of supportive care professionals worldwide. The mission of MASCC is to improve the supportive care of people with cancer, from diagnosis, through treatment and survival to the end of life. It operates in collaboration with the International Society of Oral Oncology (ISOO). Founded in 1990, MASCC now includes members from over 70 countries. MASCC provides practice resources and clinical guidelines and publishes the journal, Supportive Care in Cancer.
