The Conference of the Hellenic Society of Head and Neck Cancer took place on 7–8 November 2025 at LAED in Athens with outstanding success, high participation, and a rich scientific program.
The high quality of the presentations and the presence of distinguished experts from across the country confirmed the importance of the event for the scientific community.

As part of the valuable multidisciplinary approach, 268 scientists participated: 75 ENT specialists, 35 Dentists, 27 Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, 22 Radiation Oncologists, 19 Medical Oncologists, 17 Nurses, 17 Students, 8 Radiotherapy Technologists, and 48 scientists from various specialties.
Particularly noteworthy was the participation of young scientists, as well as the strong presence of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons from Thessaloniki.
The proposal to establish Working Groups for each scientific specialty was warmly received by all.

The first part of the program was dedicated to Supportive Care.
Ms. Ourania Nicolatou-Galitis had the pleasure and the honor of presenting the mouth as a “Regulator of Treatment.”

Esteemed ENT Surgeons presented modern surgical techniques and pioneering approaches aimed at reducing radiotherapy doses.
Distinguished Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons analyzed the latest evidence in surgery for cancers of the mouth and jaw.
Experts with deep knowledge and experience presented the role of chemotherapy and new therapeutic perspectives involving oncolytic viruses.

A highlight of the Conference was the lecture delivered by Professor of Oncology Amanda Psyrri, an internationally recognized expert, who showcased the innovative role of immunotherapy in head and neck cancer.
The value of interdisciplinary collaboration and the importance of team-based care were emphasized by respected colleagues Foukas, Kyrodimos, and Pantazopoulos.

The Conference concluded with a highly engaging and inspiring lecture by Professor of Linguistics Georgios Babiniotis, titled “I speak, therefore I exist — The world of words.”
His address captivated the audience, offering a bridge between science and culture.

Overall, it was an exceptional, constructive, and particularly enjoyable conference that highlighted the power of collaboration and knowledge.
The participation of Dentists, as well as Psychologists, Nutritionists, Nurses, and other Supportive Care Specialists from mycancer, was impressive and meaningful.
