SymbIASIS: Connecting Hospitals with Startups Events, Seminars, & Publications 09. 03. 2023 CureCancer - mycancer.gr is honored to participate in this innovative program, following an evaluation by the National Documentation Center - EKT, 06/23/2022. We sincerely thank and are grateful to Professor, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens-NKUA, and Director of BPPK, Prof. Doctor Amanda Psyrri, ATTIKON University General Hospital, for pioneering the cooperation of BPPK in the innovative program of SymbIASIS. We are grateful to the Administration and all the partners of the Hospital, Scientific Council, Medical Service, Computer Office, who cooperated admirably for the initiation of this collaboration. The project-service is offered by CureCancer - mycancer.gr to the Hospital free of charge, as part of SymbIASIS. It is our great pleasure and we invite, on behalf of CureCancer - mycancer.gr, other Hospitals and Medical Oncology Centers to participate in the innovative program SymbIASIS connecting Hospitals with Startups. What SymbIASIS is The SymbIASIS (Symbiosis + IASIS) program is implemented by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology – EIT Health and is coordinated by the National Documentation Center – EKT in collaboration with the Archimedes Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of NKUA. EKT is the coordinator of SymbIASIS and of the Greek hub of EIT Health, an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology for innovation in the health sector. At the same time, EKT is the coordinator of the Enterprise Europe Network – Hellas (EEN-Hellas), the Greek branch of the EEN, while it is the National Contact Point for Horizon Europe and in particular for the thematic groups Marie Sklodowska-Curie, Health and Digital. What is the goal of SymbIASIS The goal of SymbIASIS is to strengthen the dialogue between Hospitals and startups in the field of Health, to spread the knowledge and experience, and creating a network to explore collaborations between hospitals and start-ups. The result of the collaboration is to develop innovative products and services, which will be designed taking in account the users/patients and to be tested in a real environment to have a real impact on the health and lives of individuals and the environment. What CureCancer - mycancer.gr's innovation is CureCancer - mycancer.gr's innovation is its patient-centric platform nature. CureCancer - mycancer.gr is driven and operated by the patients. CureCancer - mycancer.gr's vision is to support people across the spectrum and Pillars of cancer, from prevention, early diagnosis, treatment and subsequent survival. At this phase, in SymbIASIS, patients will record their characteristics, real world. Patients’ characteristics can be important indicators of prognosis and contribute to the formation or modification of clinical studies. These data can also contribute to cancer health policy. CureCancer - mycancer.gr also helps the users to create their medical profile / history, record their symptoms and communicate their records and symptoms with their oncologist by video call, to receive timely and effective treatment. The benefits of the patients, self-reporting their characteristics, is the increased accuracy of their needs assessments, leading to appropriate therapeutic and social interventions and health actions.
