In Apollona, ​​in this mountain village of Rhodes, nine (9) women, taking advantage of the special geographical position of our place, its rich natural environment and its authentic traditional identity, we founded in June 2005 the 1st Women's Agritourism and Agro-Technical Cooperative of the Prefecture of Dodecanese.
Our motivation for establishing the cooperative was the need to contribute to the family income through an activity within our village, which simultaneously ensures the preservation of its cultural heritage as well as the promotion of the nutritional value of its traditional products. Products such as village yeast bread, melekouni (a traditional local sweet made from sesame and honey), semolina, trachana, spoon sweets, jams, liqueurs, etc., all made with love from our local produce.
